Doug has enjoyed many years of volunteering for both State and local Realtor associations. He has served a president of the Board of Realtors, and recognized in 1995 as Realtor of the Year. He was licensed in 1973, while working in the timber and mill industry. He left when government made it impossible to get timber.
Doug became an active Realtor in 1978 with Tarbell Realtors & managed for Tarbell in 1982. He took over ownership of the Gresham office in 1983, converting it to ERA Real estate in 1984. Doug has been active in the local community, recognized as a business leader. The company has always been recognized for being one of ERA’s most loyal supporter-recognized as the #1 office in fund raising for Muscular Dystrophy (MDA); 33 years of raising money for Salvation Army; 30 years of brining joy to low income families as “SANTA and his ELVES”. As Doug would tell you it has been a great journey!
Doug considers himself very fortunate to have lived his life in the Pacific Northwest with its beautiful mountains for skiing, hiking and camping; the rivers for boating, fishing and whitewater rafting. Doug is a lifelong runner. He runs HOOD to Coast relays and many Portland runs. You can find him early in the morning with his Doberman, putting in his miles.
Doug feels very strongly about investing in his product. He has commercial & multi family units to help keep him busy.
